A Balancing Act…

Balancing my art has always been a challenge for me. I was always “the kid who draws” while in grade school, and my artistic talent was usually a large ingredient for a passing grade through middle school. My strategy would be to go for broke on the extra credit art project, while largely neglecting the primary assignment. While in high school, I began to experiment with many of the classical ideas and techniques that still fascinate me today, as well as beginning my study of music.

Balance is a very important concept for me as an artist. Whether it be a drawing, an album design, or a musical composition, my goal is to thrive for a studied balance. Maintaining a balance of study between all of my interests and hobbies is proving to be the most difficult study of all.
